"Holding on". An isolated Wellington player desperately clings onto the ball waiting for the cavalry to arrive. They don't, in time, and Durham get a penalty.
"Hoopscarry3": Craig Hooper (3) breaks through with the entire Wellington pack (and Durham) after him....7 onto 1 doesn't seem fair and they bring him down, a few yards further on....
"Lineout1". Another successful lineout, won by Bruce Middleton, passing ball down, "off-the-top" to Micky Young at scrum half.
"Maul1": A midfield tackle from Arnie Stevenson , at fly half, stops a Wellington attack. Chris Bradley calls for support on the right but the ball was turned over, in the contact and Durham came away with it.
"Pass": Ross Middleton moves the ball away to Will Dias with Craig Hooper running to support.
PicknDrive1: Ruck completely cleaned out and Chris Bradley prepares to pick, with Kenny Reader ready to form the next "latch ball" drive, while Micky Young looks on with Adam Morton "standing guard".
"Scrum 1/Scrum2/Scrum3" Durham's scrummaging superiority shows up.... (OR: "New one way traffic system from Durham....")
"Scrum put in". Micky Young feeds a scrum in midfield. Ross Middleton is working hard at open-side flanker.
The following shows the sequence of events leading to the third try at Castlecroft.
"Try3,1": Ross Middleton drives through the Wellington line, with Chris Bradley in close support, in one of a series of phases, edging towards the Wellington line.
"Try3,2". Micky Young clears the ball away from the ruck to Arnie Stevenson.
"Try3,3" Arnie Stevenson runs at the Wellington Defensive line.
"Try3,4" Stevenson stands tall in the tackle, shrugs it off and drives through the defence. The full back advances..
"Try3,5" Stevenson attempts to side-step the full back to get to the line.
"Try3,6"The full back clings on but Stevenson dives for the line.
"Try3,7"Stevenson is over and the successful, if wobbly, conversion (completed by Stevenson, himself) led to the scores being tied at 20-20.
